A contract negotiation meeting was held early Friday in Windber for union employees of the Johnstown Lockheed Martin facility.

Employees reached out to us last week to express concerns over their new contract and the figures they were offered.

According to documents obtained by 6 News, our local Lockheed facility has one of the lowest salary rates in the company.

6 News spoke with one of the employees about his concerns.

"Personally, what I believe is that they are not paying us in accordance with inflation....the contract is not terrible but there disagreements with it."

Despite the concerns expressed over the new contract, the contract was approved on Friday.

6 News also reached out to Lockheed Martin for a comment on the contract negotiations.

We are pleased the employees in Johnstown represented by the IAM and Aerospace Workers, AFL, CIO ratified a new contract. Lockheed Martin and the Union bargained in good faith and talked through tough issues such as wages, healthcare and retirement saving plans to agree on an offer in the best interest of IAM members, the business and our customers.
