Big Run man found with child porn after sending messages to group posing as 'teen'

Jefferson Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities say a Jefferson County man is behind bars after dozens of child pornography images were allegedly found on his cellphones.

Police say in March, 51-year-old Arthur Kennedy, of Big Run, reportedly sent a nude picture of himself to members of the 814 Pred Hunters group, who were posing as a 13-year-old girl.

When confronted by police, Kennedy allegedly admitted to possessing several images of nude young girls.

Police say a search of Kennedy’s phones found nearly forty images of child porn, as well as messages and the photo that he sent to the alleged 13-year-old.

According to online court records, Kennedy is charged with several felonies for child pornography, corruption of minors and criminal use of a communication device.

He is being housed in the Jefferson County Jail.
